Rhythms of Israel
In "Rhythms of Israel," R'nanah explores a rich variety of Jewish music
from the present and the past. The disc includes songs by today's
popular Israeli singers such as David Broza and Noa. It also features Jewish
art music by Salamone Rossi from early 17th century Italy. It includes
Israeli folk songs such as Tzena and Hora. Finally, R'nanah has recorded
a cappella choral repertoire by today's leading Israeli composers, most
notably Yehezkel Braun and Tzvi Avni. "Rhythms of Israel" is truly a window
into the diverse cultural heritage of the Jewish people.
