R'nanah - "Joyful Song"
R'nanah was founded by Jesse
Rodin in 1996 at the University of Pennsylvania as an
undergraduate vocal ensemble dedicated to singing Jewish
music. The choir's diverse repertoire included arrangements
of Israeli popular and folk songs, choral works by contemporary
Israeli composers, and pieces by Salamone Rossi, a seventeenth
century Italian Jewish composer. R'nanah is not currently
performing, but the ensemble produced a recording in 1999
entitled "Rhythms of Israel" which is available for
purchase. For more information about R'nanah and "Rhythms of
Israel," please follow the links at the top of this page.
